Development Coordinator - Comprehensive Campaign Support
Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, we are seeking a self-motivated and outgoing Development Coordinator to provide strategic project management and operational support for our $8 million comprehensive campaign, The Power Within Us, while supporting the broader development function. This role serves as the operational backbone for our Chief Advancement Officer and development team, ensuring seamless execution of our major gifts campaign alongside annual giving initiatives.
Under the supervision of the Client Services Supervisor, the Forensic Interviewer is responsible for providing developmentally sensitive, culturally appropriate, and legally defensible recorded interviews of children alleged to be victims of abuse, neglect, or witness to violent crimes. Additionally, the Forensic Interviewer participates in monthly Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) case review; takes part in peer review; and responds to subpoenas.
Under the supervision of the Director of Client Services, the Family Support Specialist (formerly Family Advocate) serves as the liaison between the Children’s Advocacy Center and the victim and their non-offending caretakers.
The Forensic Nurse / Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner provides timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to pediatric and adolescent patients. This will include a medical screening examination followed by a medical forensic examination, pregnancy testing as indicated, pregnancy & sexually transmitted infection prophylaxis as indicated, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support, and participation in legal proceedings. The FN/SANE is expected to follow protocols established by the Medical Director and/or management of the WCCAC.

Details & Requirements
Base of Operations: 1811 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX
Schedule: Flexible, 16-20 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid; designed for professional development and practical experience
Ability to pass annual background checks
Must have reliable transportation and a valid Texas Driver’s License
Commitment to a consistent weekly schedule for the duration of the internship
Under the supervision of the Admin & Finance team, the intern supports daily operations through data entry, filing, budgeting tasks, and general office duties. As a result, this role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit operations. It is ideal for students pursuing finance, nonprofit management, or a related field.
Under the supervision of the Education & Training team, the Community Engagement Intern supports outreach activities, events, and prevention efforts. Through this role, interns gain valuable experience in education, communications, and nonprofit work. It is especially well-suited for students who are passionate about advocacy and making a meaningful impact in their community.
Under the supervision of the Development team, the Digital Media & Marketing Intern creates visual content, supports social media efforts, and helps tell the story of WCCAC’s mission. In this role, interns use creativity to drive awareness and advocacy. It is ideal for students studying marketing, communications, or media who want hands-on experience in a mission-driven environment.
Under the supervision of the Family Advocacy team, the intern supports wrap-around services for clients. Through this experience, interns gain skills in case management, crisis response, and team collaboration. This opportunity is ideal for students who are passionate about child advocacy and committed to supporting families through trauma.
Under the supervision of licensed clinicians, the Graduate Mental Health Therapist Intern helps deliver trauma-informed therapy to children and families. In this role, interns gain hands-on experience with evidence-based modalities such as TF-CBT, EMDR, PSB-CBT, and CFTSI. They also develop skills in clinical assessment, intervention, and case coordination. This opportunity is ideal for graduate students pursuing degrees in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related fields. It is especially valuable for those seeking supervised hours toward licensure and who are passionate about child advocacy and mental health. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited master’s program and able to commit to a two-semester placement.
