Project Specialist (Temporary)

Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Project Specialist focuses on building relationships with MDT members, evaluating resources to enhance capacity for law enforcement partners, and developing consistent practices for child abuse investigations and medical evaluations. Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating meetings and training, conducting assessments to strengthen engagement, creating models for successful implementation strategies, and reviewing and refining MDT Working Protocols with partners while providing education on best practices.

Part Time MDT Data Specialist

Under the supervision of the Director of Client Services, the PT Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Data Specialist ensures data collection assists in identifying, planning, organizing, and implementing programmatic and other quality process improvements as well as working with all departments to identify opportunities for measurable outcomes and assist with driving improvements. The PT MDT Data Analyst works closely with the Chief Program Officer, Chief Advancement Officer, Program Leadership, other data analysts, and all staff members who use the case tracking system.

Part Time Volunteer Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Chief Advancement Officer, the Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with volunteers to help WCCAC grow and succeed. In this rewarding and diverse role, your primary responsibility is to recruit, coordinate, and steward volunteers as well as harness corporate volunteerism for various special events and 3rd party fundraisers. This position will expand relationships with our community and corporate partners by creating new volunteer engagement activities.

Development & Event Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Chief Advancement Officer, the Development & Events Coordinator, in coordination with the development team, is responsible for the overall promotion and management of major and special event tasks. The ideal candidate for this role should have superior organizational skills, great leadership qualities, excellent multi-tasking skills, superb interpersonal skills, and be creative.

Community Engagement Department

Community Engagement Internship

This internship is for a student who is studying or interested in Communications, Marketing, Public Health, Sociology, Psychology, Education. Students will have the opportunity to gain experience in community education, fundraising, communications, and Marketing. The Community Engagement Department oversees Community Education, Community Awareness, Resource Development, and Volunteer Engagement. The Community Engagement Intern plays an important role in providing support to the Community Engagement team through assisting in the planning and execution of programs designed to increase community awareness, and providing administrative and analytic support.

Digital Media & Marketing Internship

The Digital Media & Marketing Internship is for a student who is studying or interested in marketing, digital media, graphic design, communication, public relations, or social media. The Digital Media & Marketing Intern is responsible for the creation and management of the organization’s digital creative content, including but not limited to social media, website, and event branding.

Therapy Department

Child and Family Therapist Internship – Graduate level

This internship is a direct service clinical position for graduate students only, providing counseling services to children and families affected by abuse, neglect, and trauma in Williamson County.  Weekly tasks will include scheduling and conducting individual and family therapy sessions using TF-CBT or other trauma-informed modalities, administering and scoring client assessments, documenting counseling sessions and assessments, group consultation with the counseling team, individual supervision with the on-site supervisor, and attending team meetings with the Multi-Disciplinary Team as needed.  Completion of the online TF-CBT training at https://tfcbt2.musc.edu/ is required.  Hours of operation are 9 am to 6 pm Monday-Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm Friday. 

(Note: There is a two-semester commitment and a background check will be required)

Family Advocacy Department

Family Advocacy Internship

This internship is a direct service position for students who are studying coursework in social work, psychology, criminal justice, family studies, or other similar fields.  Students will learn how to work directly with the children and the families who visit the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center.  Students will learn how the case will be worked through the interview process, referrals, and crisis intervention.
