MDT Coordinator

Under the direction of the Director of Client Services, the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator participates in the work of the Center and the collaborating agencies, on behalf of the child victims by reviewing notifications of child abuse and neglect from the DFPS Services Statewide Intake, identifying and tracking notifications within the WCCAC Investigative Protocol with MDT members, also called the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), and acting as team member engagement specialist for designated partners.

Internship Highlights

Admin & Finance Internship

Under the supervision of the Admin & Finance team, the intern supports daily operations through data entry, filing, budgeting tasks, and general office duties. As a result, this role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit operations. It is ideal for students pursuing finance, nonprofit management, or a related field.

Community Engagement Internship

Under the supervision of the Education & Training team, the Community Engagement Intern supports outreach activities, events, and prevention efforts. Through this role, interns gain valuable experience in education, communications, and nonprofit work. It is especially well-suited for students who are passionate about advocacy and making a meaningful impact in their community.

Digital Media & Marketing Internship

Under the supervision of the Development team, the Digital Media & Marketing Intern creates visual content, supports social media efforts, and helps tell the story of WCCAC’s mission. In this role, interns use creativity to drive awareness and advocacy. It is ideal for students studying marketing, communications, or media who want hands-on experience in a mission-driven environment.

Family Advocate Internship

Under the supervision of the Family Advocacy team, the intern supports wrap-around services for clients. Through this experience, interns gain skills in case management, crisis response, and team collaboration. This opportunity is ideal for students who are passionate about child advocacy and committed to supporting families through trauma.

Graduate Mental Health Therapist Internship

Under the supervision of licensed clinicians, the Graduate Mental Health Therapist Intern helps deliver trauma-informed therapy to children and families. In this role, interns gain hands-on experience with evidence-based modalities such as TF-CBT, EMDR, PSB-CBT, and CFTSI. They also develop skills in clinical assessment, intervention, and case coordination. This opportunity is ideal for graduate students pursuing degrees in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related fields. It is especially valuable for those seeking supervised hours toward licensure and who are passionate about child advocacy and mental health. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited master’s program and able to commit to a two-semester placement.
