The Expansion: WCCAC is a fierce advocate for abused children and their families and THE ONLY organization that delivers comprehensive services to child victims. Our proven model of support protects children, reduces the trauma of victims and their families, and assists in the incarceration of offenders.

As our region rapidly grows, the sheer number of children needing protection also increases. While WCCAC staff work as flexibly as we can, we have reached capacity, both in the number of children we can serve and the depth of services we can provide. Our current building was built to accommodate 8-10 staff members and we are currently at 30 with a strong need to hire more. This swiftly evolving reality means our plans to build capacity must include those future children we have yet to meet.

For us, thinking forward means constructing a new building WCCAC expansion facility adjacent to our current building with flexible space plans and room to grow. With that WCCAC is undergoing a comprehensive multi-million dollar campaign to expand programs and physical space and to build a stabilizing endowment.  Endowment contributions will not only provide financial stability but will also allow us to be more responsive in meeting the future needs of vulnerable children.

Leadership in Williamson County, including county commissioners, district attorneys’ offices, and cities have provided initial considerable gifts. This support not only exemplifies WCCAC’s standing within the community but also the depth of the crisis our community faces. We are seeking the remainder from our community. As we reach out to our community and build a new coalition of supporters of this expansion, we also build a safer future for our children.
