Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to receive therapy services at WCCAC?

Children that have received an MDT response are eligible to receive counseling services at WCCAC. Their individual needs will be assessed beforehand to make sure that WCCAC services are appropriate.

Because the trauma of abuse affects the whole family, non-offending family members can be considered for trauma therapy and will be screened for appropriateness by a Family Advocate.

I or my child has received services from a child advocacy center in the past. Can I/we return for services?

Yes, we will absolutely welcome back any past clients as long as their needs are appropriate for trauma therapy offered at WCCAC.

If trauma counseling is not applicable we will provide outside resources and follow up with you to ensure that you are receiving the care you need.
